Here is a link to what I believe to be the best Wes Montgomery "Live" album release. The show is from a coffee house in Berkeley. Wes borrowed the Miles Davis Quintet while they were in town for a tour. Miles, of course was above it all.

Great album . The other great "Miles-less" album I can think of is the 1957 "Art Pepper meets the Rhythm Section" . And the 60's rhythm section recordings, under Herbie Hancock ,"Empyrean Isles", and "Maiden Voyage" . I am sure there are others I am forgetting . Serious jazzbos feel free to chime in .
